Compensation: Base salary range of $180,000 to $225,000 per annum, depending on prior experience of the candidate, plus bonus and competitive benefits

The Chief Growth Officer is responsible for leading and operationalizing VolunteerMatch’s core strategy and business priorities.

Responsibilities

VolunteerMatch is looking for an experienced sales, marketing and customer success leader. The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) will own the evolution and execution of our customer-centered approach to the market. As a member of the leadership team, the CGO will lead with vision, curiosity and a growth mindset.

  1. Drive a marketing, sales and customer success culture that seeks feedback, continuous improvement and innovation for social good.
  2. Directly manage the senior team members of the Growth team.
  3. Work within and across the team to increase engagement, impact and revenue.
  4. Assess and refine internal systems and processes to support the sales function.
  5. Align VolunteerMatch’s business strategy with emerging market needs and trends.
  6. Work across a diverse range of products and services that support a multi-sided market.
  7. Communicate with employees, stakeholders, customers and investors.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least 20 years of prior experience as a senior business leader in sales and/or marketing in a data-driven environment.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • An MBA or MA in a related field is an asset.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead teams through periods of growth and change.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-organizational collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience in consumer brand building, enterprise marketing and channel marketing, especially for an API-driven product.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sales teams, especially in a channel sales context.
  • Deeply committed to using your powers for social good, developing social innovations that address deep societal needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience with human-centered design and design thinking.
  • Demonstrated people management skills and the ability to positively motivate a team with both a sense of urgency and joy.
  • Proven ability to build and manage diverse and inclusive teams.
